During this training we will lay the groundwork so that you will be equipped to oversee and support a Choosing To Thrive initiative in your community. We will discuss best practices, what works as well as what has not worked in other Choosing To Thrive sites. The agenda will be developed to meet your needs depending on where you are in starting your Guiding Coalition. Topics covered:
- Roles and responsibilities
- Developing your mission and strategic plan
- Guiding Coalition recruitment
*Note: You can also add a poverty simulation or a Bridges Out of Poverty training to a retreat.
Who should attend? Guiding Coalition members, possible funders, staff
Cost of training/retreat: $1,500 per day plus travel
Length of training: could be one or two days depending on what you want your outcome to be.
